How to Maintain A Clean iPad

If you just purchased a new iPad from Apple, proper care and maintenance will help ensure its long life. Protecting an iPad from dirt and dust goes a long way in preventing long-term damage. Avoiding dangerous situations is also essential to the life of an iPad. By taking necessary precautions with your device, you can significantly extend the lifespan of an iPad.

Instructions
1. Purchase a screen protector for the iPad. Many such protectors are available through Apple and other online websites. Make sure the screen protector protects against dirt, dust and especially scratches.

2. Clean the iPad with a soft cloth that will not scratch the screen. Unplug all cords from the device to prevent static electricity during cleaning.

3. Manually turn off the iPad, then wipe down the screen with the soft cloth. A few simple wipes will get the job done.

4. Hold the iPad properly to reduce the risk of dropping or scratching it. Be careful when using the iPad in public to avoid getting bumped.

Tips & Warnings
- Don't use window cleaners. They can permanently damage your screen.
- Don't use clothing to clean the iPad, as they are too rough and could scratch the screen.
